This is an update regarding the ongoing issues on the Viz nodes.
We performed a reboot of viz-n3 in response to user reports of sessions displaying black screens.
This appears to be a recurrence of the same low-level GPU instability we addressed with the previous reboots.
To ensure system stability and performance for all users, please remember that the Viz Nodes are intended for interactive visualization and remote desktop sessions only. GPU memory and compute intensive jobs should be submitted directly to the GPU cluster.
If you need assistance submitting jobs in batch mode to the correct cluster, please do not hesitate to reach out to us via help ticket.
