Login node reboots, VScode compatibility issues, and Quarterly Maintenance Date

Dear CRCD Users,


In an effort to address reported issues with interactive session responsiveness, we will be performing reboots on each of the login nodes.

This will allow us to:

    Start with a fresh system state for troubleshooting

    Implement any necessary configuration changes

    Clear system caches for improved performance

and will occur tomorrow, Friday April 11th.


Notice for VSCode Users

The latest version of VSCode has compatibility issues with the current OS on the login and compute nodes.
Until we transition to RHEL 9 (planned for mid August), we recommend using VSCode version 1.85 or earlier for stability.


Quarterly Maintenance Announcement

Our next quarterly maintenance window is scheduled for:

Tuesday, May 6 from 8 AM to 8 PM
