The Center for Research Computing (CRC) at the University of Pittsburgh invites applications for a Research Assistant Professor position (outside the tenure stream) in Data-intensive Applications. You should have a PhD in computer science, information science, bioinformatics, or a related discipline, with experience working in Big Data. We are looking for people with expertise in some of the following areas:
  • Machine learning
  • Hadoop and Spark
  • Data exploration and visualization
  • Data analytics using R, Python, SAS, MATLAB
  • Graph analytics
  • Image analysis
  • Predictive analytics in social media

CRC Seeking Research Assistant Professor Position in Electronic Structure and GPU Computation
The Center for Research Computing (CRC) in conjunction with the Department of Chemistry at the University of Pittsburgh invites applications for a Research Assistant Professor position (outside the tenure stream). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronic structure methods for finite and periodic systems as well as optimization and code development for HPC and GPU platforms. A PhD in chemistry, physics, materials science, or related area is required. Experience with machine learning would be a plus.
