The Open Science Grid User School will be held July 9-13 for participants interested in using high throughput computing (HTC) for research in many fields of study (e.g. physics, chemistry, agricultural and economics). Lectures, discussions and hands-on activities with Open Science Grid (OSG) will explore how HTC, and how to run and manage jobs and datasets. Sessions will be held at the University of Wisconsin–Madison using the national OSG.
The school is ideal for graduate students in any science or research domain using large-scale computing. Applications from advanced undergraduates, post-doctoral students, faculty and staff will also be considered. Students accepted to the program will receive financial support for basic travel costs.
The deadline for applications is Friday April 20. For more information and to apply go to opensciencegrid.github.io/user-school-2017/.
